Dual-Axis Trackers
Dual-axis trackers are an effective solution at high latitudes. By independently adjusting azimuth (east–west rotation) and elevation (north–south tilt), these systems continuously align PV modules with the sun’s actual position throughout the day and across seasons. This capability is particularly valuable in northern regions, where the sun traces a long arc from sunrise to sunset in summer and remains low on the horizon during winter. The result is consistently higher solar exposure and a material increase in annual energy yield, making dual-axis trackers especially well-suited for high-latitude installations.
We have conducted extensive research on the application of this technology in Northern Canada, with a focus on performance, reliability, and operational suitability under cold-climate conditions.
